I will keep this review simple. Ordered the Capriciossa Pizza. The bread base is AMAZING. Ingredients fresh. It is on the pricier side in terms of portion as it was $18 for 2 rectangular pieces but understandably its the city and they're running a business. You wont complain about the quality. I'll be back.
- AndyRomanello has absolutely nailed it. The pizza slices are next-level — perfectly crisp base, generous toppings, and that unmistakable authentic Italian flavour in every bite. But the real showstopper? The porchetta roll. Juicy, tender pork with crackling that actually crackles, balanced with fresh bread and just the right seasoning. It’s rich without being heavy and downright addictive.
- Min RakisAbsolutely LOVE Romanello! Having moved away from Melbourne, their Morta sandwich is still one I crave for! Recently visited during a trip back and even though they’ve updated the menu for the Morta, they immediately asked if I wanted to add on a couple elements that I loved like their pistachio sauce (what dreams are made of) and hot honey. Fantastic sandwiches and run by lovely people, what more could you ask for really. Will be back every time I’m in Melbourne! Thanks Romanello team!!!
- Christine TeeDelicious must visit focaccia place! I had focaccia topped with pumpkin, truffle, mushroom and more. The taste is spot on and bursts with flavour! There’s either a pizza style or sandwich style available.
There’s nice outdoor seating. Staff are nice and efficient. It may not be an every day lunch option unless you have the budget, but it’s most definitely a treat to come back for!
